Dr. Karen Eckenroth, Director of Music Ministries

Dr. Karen Eckenroth has been Director of Music at Grace since Autumn of 2000. She directs the Adult Chancel Choir and Adult Handbell Choir. Her responsibilities also include worship planning, music offerings for worship, special music programming and coordination of guest musicians, and oversight of children’s music at Grace. She works closely with Pastor Will and the Worship & Music Team to maintain a spiritually rich tradition of worship at Grace. |
| Dr. Eckenroth is Associate Professor of Music at Otterbein College. In addition to her duties as Director of Vocal Activities and Opera Theatre, she also teaches studio voice and classes in sight singing, Opera Literature, Women in Music, and German Diction. |
Dr. Eckenroth received her Bachelor and Masters degrees in vocal performance and pedagogy from The Pennsylvania State University and her Doctor of Musical Arts in voice and choral conducting from The University of Arizona. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the College Music Society, Opera America, the American Choral Directors Association, Phi Kappa Phi, and Pi Kappa Lambda. |
