Pastor Will serves as primary preacher, supervisor of the congregation's pastoral and administrative staff, and oversees all worship services of the congregation. He is also responsible for developing the vision for the congregation's mission and ministry. Pastor Will supports and participates in the Grace's Learning Ministries, serves as pastoral liaison to the Worship & Music, Stewardship and Social Concerns Teams, and chairs the Worship Planning Team. He serves the Southern Ohio Synod as its Ecumenical Representative, Chairperson of the Ecumenical Affairs Committee, and Member of Synod Council.

Pastor Will received a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies in 1976 from Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, NJ and a Master of Philosophy in Hebrew and Cognate Studies from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Cincinnati, OH. He has studied at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel, participated in archaeological digs and has led numerous pilgrimages to the Holy Land. He has taught at the University of Cincinnati and at Trinity Lutheran Seminary. Pastor Hartfelder and his spouse, Julia, are the parents of three grown children.
